Adrian,

I think your recreation of Susan & Erik's Prayer Rock stamp is great.
I do see beter now what you are getting at. It should make a fine
series. Thank you.

Tom

Adrian:
Susan and I are both flattered with the stamp you've designed using the
Prayer Rock stamp image. Thank you.

It is great to see this coming together. Thank you for your willingness
to do this - perhaps Chris Granstrom will do a follow-up article.

Adrian,
This looks fantastic!! I like it very much. (Note: If it's not too late,
would it be possible to change the lettering to read "Letterbox USA" instead
of "Letterboxing USA"? I believe that's the official name the group adopted
some time ago.)
This is very exciting.

Well, we can always change the name back to match the stamp :-) The more I
think about it, I much prefer "Letterboxing USA". The term "Letterbox USA"
conjures up images of the motion picture industry, not of letterboxing, IMO.
(A Yahoo! search of "letterbox" brings up "letterbox" and "letterboxing" sites.
The "letterbox" named sites are all associated with sites on movie and video
technology, and the "letterboxing" named sites are associated with what we
do, so I guess that is why I feel the "Letterboxing USA" is more
representitive, less confusing, and hence better. A Yahoo! search of
"letterboxing" brings up all the letterboxing sites but much fewer movie and
video sites. {We are also in Yahoo! as Letterboxing USA anyway, another reason
it seems to change it back would be simpler}). Not that I imagine its
that big of deal either way...

I'll vote with Randy here. *Letterboxing* just seems more appropriate
than *Letterbox*. But, as Randy says, it's not a big deal either way.

Adrian,

I like the stamp design! I'm impressed by the detail (and all the little
lettering!) I've noticed a lot of the Dartmoor stamps I've seen online
have a lot of fine lettering and detail. Would a "Dartmoor" stamp like
this typically be hand carved, or made by machine?

Curious as usual,
Marty
